Leatherstone Equestrian Centre(LEC) is situated on 20 manicured acres sitting atop one of the highest points in Wellington County.

LEC is a full service barn offering individualized coaching programs for hunter, jumper, and dressage. LEC also has a selection of horses for sale in each discipline; the facility also offers professional breaking and training

Our Barn Manager and Head Coach is Aletia Townsend, her articulate and patient coaching style brings out confidence in her students. Lessons are available to all ages from recreational riders to advanced riders wishing to compete at higher levels.

Leatherstone

Aletia is a talented rider who has been riding and training for 15+ years; along the way she has ridden and trained internationally in the UK (BHS accreditation), Switzerland, Bermuda, and the USA. She has trained with such noteworthy riders as Lorraine Stubbs - two time Olympian, Pan Am Gold Medalist, and international dressage judge; Alison Faso, USDF Silver Medalist; Marcus Tonn - German Grand Prix Jumper, and many other prestigious riders.

Currently riding and training between 5 and 9 horses on a daily basis, this strong talented young woman is the backbone of Leatherstone.
